Wow, Cori, just wow...what a tender and evocative FREIGHT TRAIN!! Yes, sounds like Holy Spirit did a masterful slam-dunk on you with that phrase He dropped into you, "You stood still". The fact that you were crying while writing is a sure sign of Holy Spirit's presence. He does the same thing to me, hits me with a phrase that makes the tears come. Real, authentic, not a phony bone in the whole piece. You are blessed to have a dear husband person like this. HUGE deal, actually and all too rare...but I am so happy for you! The ebb and flow, the joining together of two opposites, the creation of life, the walking together through change. Correct, the blasted pandemic and all its evil, did a real number on so many. I am glad you came through it and live on to WRITE so wonderfully. Thank you for this, it truly touched me. Wendy
Thank you for your beautiful words. Your support is wonderful to me. I’ve learned so much from God through you. You, and many others (many shared from your community), have brought me back from the brink a place where I’d forgotten how to practice my faith. And a reminder of my blessings. I’m thankful every minute for that. Have an amazing week!
Thank you, dear Cori! I am so happy to hear this from you. Writing is such a deep and "digging" enterprise, in which we lay bare our experience and emotions, both good and not so good. God helps with the digging...but we have to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, to bring that to fruition. You do it so well!! Blessings of the day, Wendy
Thank you so much for that beautiful comment. I often glance at him and realize how fortunate I am but yesterday a steam locomotive plowed into me with the true magnitude of his sacrifice.🫠
I believe that's true!! Awww those are the best posts that make you feel as you write!!! I agree sometimes its really hard to see the magic in the mundane everyday but once you see it you cant unsee it ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This is soooooo beautiful!! I felt the love you have in every line on this page!! Truly moving and utterly moving!! Honestly those moments of true and heartwarming appreciation for one another is just so precious!! Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your lives together!! No one is perfect no marriage is perfect but its so beautiful to see such love and a beautiful way of coming together 🥰😍🤩
Some days God speaks through us. The words “you stood still” slammed into my head and I immediately sat down to write, actually cried the whole time. Sometimes we don’t see the magic in our lives through all the everyday mundane detritus. I didn’t even add any buttons to the post because it felt like a personal moment with my husband albeit shared with 700 subscribers. 🤭
It’s funny. He recently realized that he’s a’lone wolf’ personality type but he’s the life of the party when we do socialize. Always joking around with everyone.
Thank you Julie. We had a moment this morning with a family member and hubby stopped to give me a long hug. It made a world of difference and my mind immediately flooded with “you stood still” and the story wrote itself. It was worth being late to work for because I recognized that it’s time past time really for me to stand still for him.

This one made me stop and contemplate things. And that is what great writing does. Thank you.

Awesome homage to the life you built together and your enduring love. So sweet😘
Thanks sis. We all grew up together so I guess we share that love the whole way around.❤️😊
Amazing work, Cori. Sounds like a guy with whom I'd enjoy a barbeque :-)

When you have someone in your life who is a rock like that, it makes such a difference x
He really does make ALL the difference in the world and in my life.
