I have been really enjoying these, and (for obvious reasons) really REALLY enjoyed seeing yours ☺️ I too love the numbers aspect, and am always a pushover for snappy graphics 😁

Seriously though, thanks so much - your support is greatly appreciated 🙂

And here I was thinking I was your primary source of news and truth. Looks like you've got some explaining to do.. Just kidding of course. Seriously though, HUGE fan of both Stone and Starfire, genius minds all of us.

I like numbers but numbers games, not so much lol. In our SS community some really amazing writers are making ‘the 3’. I suspect that many people who have multiple newsletters and/or post many times a day will make those banners. Me I’m about a 2-3 times a week type and I don’t think I’ll get to daily for me, not sure it’s my vibe. Maybe my podcast might get me to daily. Of course it’d have to be worth a shit to get an audience. My comment numbers were an embarrassment but I spread the love with restacks. This is why a PhD in data science gets a job offer from government grant sponsors for a cool half a mill. What I think would be amazing is if they compared trajectories between small/beginners and medium and large/vets. That’s what I would geek on. A giant compared to me, she has 5k subscribers and 3 newsletters, recently told me my engagement with readers as measured by likes comments restacks I assume, is crazy good relative to my size. I want to know why. I also want to know why my subscribers per follower is better than the average noted on geekle. And I really want to know why my conversion rate on recommendations from others is dismal compared to their conversion rate from my recommendations of them. They’re 6-7 times more likely to get a subscriber than I am. Maybe it’s because I write blurbs with mine - a sentence or 2 about why they recommend me. I’m not in this to make money right now but I was once once a competitive athlete, the best female half miler my HS had seen. But I almost NEVER took 1st place. I still got better and better and broke our school record. As a second placer. Lol. Anyhoo the moral is I love a challenge and that’s part of why I love SS. It’s a really good thing I love writing and reading or I’d end up in a chair cranking numbers all day. Phew bet you weren’t expecting all that. Lol. I think I’ll do a short 2-post series on this topic. Turns out I have a lot to say on the subject.

Wow, wasn’t expecting all that, but I hear ya. Yes, write a post on it! You know way more than I do on the topic. I don’t spend much time looking at all those stats, I’m just making my posts and watching my numbers grow over time. Matter of fact, I just reached 1.99K subs, so about to hit another milestone. I’m going to make a ‘gun’ post later today to see if that will bump me up to the 2K mark sooner rather than later. But I honestly don’t really know what I’m doing LOL.

Oh, and I did the ‘880’ which was about a half-mile when I ran track, and didn’t win 1st ever I don’t think, but it was sure fun trying! That’s a very tactical distance - sprinters can just go all out, but at longer distances, you have to pace yourself and really be in tune with what that is, to win. Good times!

I know right?! Mine was the 880 also and it’s a strategic race - 4x220 in reality. We had an awesome sprint coach my sr year and he just says to me “hey I think if you learn to fine tune you can break the record in the 880” amazing what mentors can do for your ambition.

About growth I’m pondering mine over time too but get sucked in by the possible levers and just start playing around. That’s why my brother calls me nerd.
