Cori, I love these so much! Such a great idea for a yard. I remember restaurants in our city using these during the pandemic.

I wonder if they'd hold in any warmth in Canadian winters lol. We dip down into the -30s regularly.

On clear sunny days the sun gave us a 40 degree boost. If your winters are that cold you probably have more fall/spring temp days so you would get more boost there than us. The feeling of well-being we received after sitting inside it for an hour or so was indescribable. Good old fashioned conversation and sunshine!

Do it!! There is another one on Amazon that is EXACTLY the same as my first one. It will be good for 3 winters or so. I love you sis!

Cori, great idea! Not something I am equipped to do but nevertheless, a great idea! Blessings to you and yours, I continue to keep you on my prayer list. Wendy

Thank you Wendy. Consider throwing in with friends or church mates on a shared pod. That might work. Thank you for your prayers. Bless you!

Such a great idea. I too get that SAD around mid-January to mid-February. Not fun seeing darkness when I leave for work and arrive home 9 hours later. The past few years, I have been using a small verilux light at my desk during that mid-Winter time period. That seems to work for me. Thankfully my apartment and workplace are both south-facing and have decent sunlight when the weather cooperates.

I have a sunlamp too. I began using one about 6 years ago and it helped some. It's in my office now, because the glam pod solved most of it for me. I missed ours at the end of last winter and all of spring. It's high time for Beta Glam pod! LOL

Wow! I am sure I get SAD to add to my hangries when winter comes- maybe I wouldn’t be such a hibernating bear if I had one of these! 😍🤔💕

Give it a try. Made me a different person. My family who came to visit loved sitting in there with a beverage and shooting the shit too.

My SAD went away when I replaced all of the lights in the house with daylight-balanced (6500º K) lights.

I switched to those a while back but encountered 2 issues -1 my son with epilepsy got headaches from those, and 2 they can impact sleep due to blue light spectrum. We since went to yellow low wattage everywhere except kitchen task areas so now it’s softer light like campfires after dark.

I wonder which technology you were using for the daylight lamps (i.e., fluorescent or LED)?

I wonder if there was a flicker in the ones you were using?

And I’ve never had a sleep problem, but I’ll take that over depression any day!

Ours are all LED. My son is very electrically empathetic I call it. He can feel things we never even notice and light and electricity are two of the things he senses. I think it’s a gift that came with his challenges.
