I love them too. The ones I buy at target are Jungalow and they’re almost fluffy. Dried out in the sunshine they’re the most amazing sheets I’ve owned.
Excellent ideas. I like this one: "Tell yourself a tale..." Going to try this one for the next while. I tried melatonin and it seems to have no effect.
Two hours before bed, NO controversial subjects raised. I ask my wife to not bring up work after 8 pm. No politics. No screens for me. No talking about what our adult sons are doing (wrongly). Etc.
So nice to see someone else loves percale sheets. So much better than microfiber or other synthetics. 300 thread count is as high as I go. Percale is a weave pattern that comes out smooth. It is not just the compression of threads when weaving, but the size of the thread itself. The larger the thread, the bigger the openings between crossing threads in the weave.
Great percale has a sheen to it. I tend to buy 85% cotton percale sheets. You can find top level percale sheets at Ross, Marshall’s and Tuesday morning for little money (~60 -80% off).

I just got your reply. You are doing responses just fine. You know, having a clothesline is something many people don’t do. I love the smell and feel of percale when warmed in the sun. It’s natures fabric softener. Brings back childhood memories.
Wonderful advice here for a good nights sleep. I didn’t know that about cotton weave. After touring for years and being in several different time zones within a week or two. I crave the time when I would be in one place. Now that I’m in one place, I’m loving it. I look forward to when I fall asleep because I’ve had so many sleepless nights in my life. I have a sick friend who seems to be on the same schedule as you. She is up about five or 530 and in bed by nine or 930. She doesn’t change the schedule ever.
I’ve always had problems with pillows. Finding a good one that works for me. A friend of mine gave me a My Pillow and I absolutely love it. I will take note on your bed recommendation because we are looking for one. I had a Tempur-pedic for years and spent a lot of money on it. It was comfortable but I honestly didn’t like all the problems associated with it.
I lived in Las Vegas and over on the central coast here in California and I owned it. After my travels I would come back to a cold house in the 50s. as you know the 50s is fairly warm for many parts of the United States. The Tempur-pedic would be hard as a rock - like it was frozen, and it was cold. That was just one minor problem. In the extreme heat it would be really soft and not supportive. So I’m happy to welcome suggestions. Thank you again!
Love all the advice! I'm currently doing most of this, including drinking Nightly Calm too! The only thing that has REALLY helped me recently is medical marijuana. I'm having the best sleep of my life!!
I have no idea honestly. My neurologist prescribed it. I'm in Texas and I have to go through a company called Texas original. I got the unflavored tincture. I don't see anything on the box that describes anything LOL.
Some great advice. A few things would not work for me, but hey…I’m weird. Anything colder than 70 would prompt much grumbling from me, lol. Honestly, anything under 74 is just plain cold. I intend on implementing several suggestions immediately, especially the lavender.
YYyyyyyyyyaaasssss!!! We ARE Soul sisters! The bedroom is for sleeping and sex - that's it!! No TVs, please. I also use a lavender/chamomile roll on behind my ears and on my throat, too! My hub has been teasing me lately because even during summer break, I wake up at virtually the same time and go to bed at the same time. I explained it helps to stay consistent, but he is a non-believer. Humph! Thanks for sharing! XO
We might have been separated at birth. Lol
Those are EXCELLENT tips

We had tempur-pedic before Sterns and Foster no comparison the S&F hybrid blows the TP away. Good luck!

So glad you found the help you need! Which strain do you use? I have a family member with sleep challenges.

Would you mind sending me a pic so I can research it? This family member, like you, has struggled for over a decade with this.

This sounds like a well used recipe.
Mystic William def has a good strategy there.
Good article.
