Movies, like music, stick with us long after the cinematic experience takes us away for a few hours. Unlike books or music, movie do the imagining for us. As a rule, I’m a book person versus a movie person for that reason. However, during the pandemic movies and TV grew on me and all my favorites sit there in the back of my mind waiting for me to (throw) quote them at the most (in)appropriate times.

While mining for the right cover pic for this post, I did this geekle search - “Ripley or Gamora or Sarah Connor” - and the most hilarious thing came back from geekle AI.
In a hypothetical fight, Sarah Connor from the Terminator franchise likely has the edge over Ellen Ripley from the Alien series and Gamora from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, due to her advanced training and experience in fighting human and robotic threats.
Here's a breakdown:
Sarah Connor:
Training: Connor is a survivor of the Terminator saga, having been trained to fight against advanced technology and cyborgs, making her a formidable combatant.
Experience: She has faced down multiple Terminators, including the advanced T-1000, demonstrating her adaptability and resilience.
Tactical Skills: Connor is a skilled fighter who is able to improvise and adapt to different situations, making her a dangerous opponent.
Ellen Ripley:
Skills: Ripley is a highly skilled pilot and a resourceful survivor, able to outwit and outfight Xenomorphs in the Alien universe.
Experience: She has faced down Xenomorphs, including the Queen, but her experience is mostly limited to space and alien environments.
Limitations: Ripley's combat skills are more focused on survival in a specific environment, while Connor's are more versatile and adaptable to different threats.
Gamora:
Skills: Gamora is a skilled warrior and assassin, with enhanced strength and agility, but her abilities are not as well-defined as Ripley or Connor's.
Experience: Gamora's experience is primarily in the context of intergalactic warfare and mercenary work, which is different from the threats faced by Ripley and Connor.
Limitations: Gamora's combat skills are not as versatile as Connor's, and she is not as experienced in fighting against advanced technology or cyborgs.
This seriously put me on the trail of watching all the Celebrity Deathmatch episodes. LOL. If I do, I’ll write about it cause that’s funny, I don’t care who you are.
Ultimately I chose Elastigirl because she has a secret super-hero identity, she’s raising kids in an f-d up world, and she’s a no-nonsense, non-lovey-dovey type. BINGO!
Weeks in the making, here’s the supposed life story of one Cori Bren, as told by movie memes and a couple of really, really old pictures. This post is too large for email, so use this link to view online

Someone else you know was born after the civil war and would love Bren’s Buzz. Trust me on this.
Let’s talk smack, or trash, or whatever the slang word of your generation is. I love hearing from readers.
Hmm...wrote an original comment in agreement about "being in a bad mood for 40 years." Seems to have disappeared. Maybe I should lighten up my mood!
You are still brilliant, Cori! I love your pithy!
🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😊🥰💞
