Brilliant collection! Yes, the best thing to be said about getting older is that it sure beats the hell out of the alternative. I'll take itπŸ˜†

Happy you liked them. Good to have you here even if it’s like hide and seek finding our work lately

Loved the joy and laughter, thank you Cori! I feel like I’m dusting off my old Thomas Map Book to find everyone! πŸ˜‚

WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME CORIπŸ’–SPEAK LOUDER I CAN'T HEAR YOU

Tara Deacon's avatar

I love these!! They are all sooo funny!! I laughed my butt off outloud!!! The one about wondering where the part of my brain is that used to store people's phone numbers was hilarious πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ every single one was a hit though!! Man getting older is actually fun πŸ˜†

Cori Bren's avatar

Is it though? Lol. I think it is fun. Glad you liked these.

Tara Deacon's avatar

I totally think getting older is fun lol we dont have to filter as much πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ at least that's what I have found...and I care less about what other people think of me every year that passes πŸ˜†

So nice to hear that you liked these. Laugh on!

I love all of these!

Cori Bren's avatar

So happy you found something to laugh at. We need more comedy to take back our happiness.

Maggie Jon's avatar

I couldn't agree more. That's why I write the way I write.

Haha, so many great memes. I think my favourite is "I remember being able to get up without making sound effects...good times." haha.

Cori Bren's avatar

Lol. That was top three for me. My fav was Things I Have in Common with Racoons. Lol

Happy Sixty, dear Cori! Many of the Boomers are still recovering from their youth, myself included. Even though age is tough, I would not want to be young again. Once was enough! Carry on!

Cori Bren's avatar

Once is def enough for me to. Rock on.

Wendy Elizabeth Williams's avatar

I will, Cori, as long as I can. No desire to live to 90...but awhile longer.

Craving Ratio's avatar

When I was younger I was to busy to meme because I was partying. Now I'm too busy memeing and I forgot where I was going with that. Happy 60!

Cori Bren's avatar

Lol. Sounds about right. I lose my train of thought in the middle of a sentence all the time now.

Deborah T. Hewitt's avatar

There are some great (and VERY relatable) memes in this one!! I just told my husband I feel like a grey haired looking drug addict. Nice!!! So glad I could give him this vision. He never knows what to say. Aging ain't for chickens.

Cori Bren's avatar

❀️ this is great. LOL - β€œaging ain’t for chickens”

Wendy Elizabeth Williams's avatar

Or as Charlton Heston said, "not for sissies" ....nope.

So the calendar has turned to 60… folk would accuse me of robbing the cradle… Happy Birthday!

Ken Macko's avatar

I did mud too !

You’re not getting older - you’re getting BETTER !

Cori Bren's avatar

I spent hours catching salamanders in a swamp that’s muddy business.🀭

when I turned 50, I retired from helping anyone move furniture, even my own.

when I turned 60, I retired from everything else that I don't want to do anymore.

Cori Bren's avatar

Feels good to kiss things goodbye doesn’t it?

Philip Mollica's avatar

Glorious!

And a lot of them don't get a kiss. They get a oh, hell no.

Stone Bryson's avatar

The 'spot / hot / shot' made me laugh WAY too hard... oddly relatable LOL

Great drop, Cori! ;-)

Cori Bren's avatar

Thanks. I love that one too because it reminds me of me and my sisters.

Charles Summers's avatar

Does anybody know how old you have to be for the juvenile delinquent thoughts and tendencies to stop? Asking for a fren.

Wendy Elizabeth Williams's avatar

Sorry, Charles...never!

Francesca Bossert's avatar

Even though I’m sick, and basically housebound (yay IBD, so sexy!) I still have the same thoughts I had when I was 17. I just know how to process them better!

Cori Bren's avatar

A M E N to that Francesca. Every day we’re better humans than the day before. It takes a lot more to ruffle us.

Cori Bren's avatar

Lmao. These frens we have sure are sneaky bastards. We don’t get old. We just have parties in our own heads after while.

Charles Summers's avatar

The urge to wind the engine up and β€œdrop the clutch” and smoke the tires at remote stop signs still occurs to me more often than it ought to. Then I realize that I’m driving a Honda Civic with a 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission…that might be one of them there metaphors.

Cori Bren's avatar

I heard that. I’ve lost count of how many times I scream β€œget the fuck out!” in my head, even to strangers. There’s a build up of 60 years of suppression hiding behind my smiling eyes. πŸ˜‚

Stone Bryson's avatar

LOL Not to randomly quote Rod Stewart, but perhaps you are just 'forever young'... ;-)
