Agreed. Nature therapy at least once a week. No matter what the weather. No bad weather, just the wrong clothes, now get out from under my feet (as my mother used to say every single day of the school holidays. Winter or Summer, I would add :)

Us too we were outside rain or shine until dark and even after dark in the summer.

Oh my, oh my! I would love to take a walk in the woods with you Cori! I adore magic and mystery!

Thank you for the restack!

Thank you kindly. We forest-walk every Sunday and for the last 4 I’ve written about it. Some of my most popular posts to date and always fun. Someday I’ll get a real camera to use. Lol

Now THAT is an adventurous memorable hike in the woods, I say! I don't even want to know where you were because I don't want to spoil the magical mystery! Love it!

Cori Bren's avatar

It was a really fun hike once my brain got my imagination involved. We go every week and try new trails.

Hilarious! People are always so incredulous when I say that I hike alone. Now I know I COULD twist my ankle or something, but I am sure I could McGyver that shit well enough to get back to the parking lot. I'm not cliffhanging, for Pete's sake. Alien attack is just as likely :-) XO

The forest beckons…

Indeed! Who am I to say no??

I love this 🤣🤣 And I 100% agree that I'll never go a Sunday without some form of nature!!

Thanks Kristi!

I would have jumped out of the forest if I saw that snake 🐍 YIKES! 😬

Cori Bren's avatar

He was tiny and nonvenomous

Not too long ago a real tiny king snake crossed my path just as I was climbing the stairs to our porch. It was moving right along the side of the wall of the bottom stair, and I almost stepped on it. I jumped a mile and screamed; and it was equally terrified and squirmed off fast into my mint patch. 😂

Love this 🤣. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's mind wanders to create entire scenarios when I come across almost anything that seems "out of the ordinary".

Cori Bren's avatar

Lol it made the walk even better yesterday

Bigfoot's face is in the leaf shadow on the tree in the mushroom pic...finally, proof!!! He's really great at camouflage and hide and seek.

Cori Bren's avatar

You had me reexamining my pics and I think you’re right!

Beautiful images Cori, the pond/lake is extraordinarily rich in textures. 🙌

Cori Bren's avatar

We’ll take that trail again at some point and I’ll study it with my artist eyes. This time my imagination went straight to the pipe and hidden lair and I got distracted. Lol

Stone Bryson's avatar

Now, you didn't happen to EAT any of those mushrooms, did you? Because that would explain a LOT 😉😂☺️

Seriously Cori, this was an awesome story! You should let your imagination go crazy more frequently 😁 Love this!

What a beautiful thing to say. I plead the 5th but can only say I had a lot of fun writing it! We saw that pond near the beginning of the trek and my mind took off.

No doubt an outpost of the Gates Foundation for collection and disbursement of their genetically modified mosquitoes. I keep hearing Gene Simmons calling to Tom Selleck in the 80s sci-fi movie Runaway - 'RAMSEY!!!'
