What’s the deal with The Twelve Days of Christmas? All those birds?! Shiver… I have nothing against birds per se, but 23 of those flapping monsters by day seven? No sirree Bob! I want nothing to do with that. And by the time this ‘favorite’ carol is through, there are:

• 12 partridges

• 22 turtle doves

• 30 French hens

• 36 calling birds

• 42 geese

• 42 swans
