I love this so much!

Also, ever since I read this I've had the Bee Gees stuck in my head. Or rather, Michael Buble covering the Bee Gees with one of the Gibb brothers singing along (I forget which one). Anyway, I love me a good song reference!

I meant to link How Can You Mend A Broken Heart in the actual post. Multitasking is the bane of my existence. I’m so happy you like this. It was a transformational experience for the towel and my heart so I love that it’s resonating with lots of readers. I’ve had the song stuck in my head ever since. Lol

The mending of your heart ♥️ I can so relate to fixing my heart in sudden "tending" moments. I felt this. Much satisfaction at the end. Very therapeutic. ox

P.S. I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks Deb. I’m feeling much better and Lent always cheers me up too. Xoxo

I love it! I wish I could sew. After I had my kids, I kept hoping there would be time for my mom to teach me to sew, because I wasn't that interested in learning when I was a kid. It never happened. I guess I need to find a video tutorial...

I can teach you if we can find a time and you have zoom. I can show you how to make the stocking I made. It’s all straight seams and teaches a lot about putting something together. There’s a little more to it than people think but it’s also a lot easier than most people expect.

I don't have zoom. I tried to put it on my phone once and it just did not work. Thank you for the offer, though.

If you use iPhone we could face time and no pressure

I have an android phone, I'm afraid. Thank you, though. It's very kind of you to offer and I really appreciate it.

Cori!!! A beautiful metaphor and beautifully presented! I love the tender (and sometimes frustrating) art of sewing, a practice that can indeed, mend our souls. Repurposing is an excellent skill and saves things to re-use. Lovely pink and red! Laughing about the old seam ripper... I still have the blue plastic seam ripper I had way back in 8th grade!!! Keep sewing, great stuff!

Hi Wendy! I love your enthusiasm. I’m definitely having a creative moment and the practicality of sewing suits this pensive and meditative time in my life.

Impressive! I have a problem with sewing on a button. I love the broken heart metaphor. So much heart in the stitches. Honest, tender, and gorgeous.

What a beautiful thing to say.😊I abused my fingers but it was worth every minute. Get yourself a spool of quilting thread and then 3-5 x’s and the button will never come off. That thread is super strong. Good luck.

You are amazing. Not just in the fix, but the mental aspect in knowing and adjusting.

Hope you’re feeling a lil’ better 😊
