Excuse Me, Excuse Me - Elephant in the Room
It's Bren's Bites - March Meditation Madness!
Let’s get ready to R U M B L E!!!!! Wait, no. That’s not the Bren’s Bites topic for this month. The time has come to turn your health quest inward with meditation. Quit yer crying! Meditation is good for you and it’s nothing like what you expect. Meditation is presence. Presence is aligning your mind, heart, and spirit with the physical position of your atomic matter within your current universe. Easy, peasy right?!!!
I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then. - Alice
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. - Buddha
Remember, Bren’s Bites are monthly quick-tips for your health, that are easy to adopt in a few minutes a day. I’m not into buzz words, but if we want to put a label on them let’s call them life hacks, or life ‘backs’, since tuning in and implementing these super easy cheat codes WILL get you your life and your mojo back by the end of 2026.
Sure some people challenge themselves to go all zen, really working their third eye, while dredging up all manner of long buried dirt. But, that’s not what I have for you today. Here goes - the straight skinny on cultivating inner calm.
☮ Focus for 5 or more minutes at a time, a few times a day. Focus might mean:
❤ Sit still, close your eyes, inhale for 4 counts, hold for 2, and exhale for 6
🔥 Watch a flame - a campfire, a candle flame, or a fireplace fire. NON DIGITAL.
📖 Read a printed fiction book or observe NON DIGITAL art without speaking
🧶 Perform a craft or hobby - NON DIGITAL. This must be hands-on.
🌤 Lie on the grass and look at the sky without thinking about anything but the sky
🌳 Sit under a tree looking up at the canopy and observing all its details
🎵 Listen to instrumental music - NO WORDS
✨ Choose a color for the day and stop to appreciate it EVERY time you see it
🙏 Pray or use a mantra, such as “I am here, I am alive, this moment is enough”

Memes take up a lot of cyberspace. Deal with it.
Life is crazy and it’s coming in hot lately. Let’s laugh about it now and meditate about it later. Yes, this will count as your 10 minutes of laughter for today😆
Did you know that hitting the ❤️ icon above or below, and sharing this post shows your appreciation for Bren’s Buzz?
When life is too much, go to the meditation. That’s with a “t”. Make life better with the “t” instead of the “c”👀
Everyone’s talking about Bren’s Bites - the 12 month health hack series with one tip per month. Sharing is caring. Even your friends and family have 5 minutes a day to get their mojo back!
If you made it this far, check out The Starfire Codes post on February 16th (linked below) which contained a 528 Hz sound meditation. Sound frequencies can be used to cleanse your environment and aura and heal your body. Demi had a series of daily posts during February that used varying Hz for different effects. This is another method of focus using your ears.
You can also do 10-15 minutes of meditation all at once. In this case, I find guided meditation to be helpful and the streaming services and YouTube are loaded with options. ✌
Now, let’s get real for 23.5 seconds. Are you following this series? Have you read the prior posts, one per month published the last day of each month beginning Dec 31? Are you finding these tips easy to integrate into your extra special, extra busy life? Tell me about it, I’m a writer, not a freaking mind reader!
Demi’s post
In case you missed them, here are the January and February tips.

Love the memes but also your excellent tips. Thanks, Cori.
Good grief, woman, you are toooo funny and the laughter I needed this evening! The very first one about the speed of "15 WTF's" an hour and the Homing pigeon returning after being sold 22 times...drat, I laughed out loud. Cori, thy name is "hilarious"! I don't meditate...but I do read some good fiction books quietly, always 4-5 books on my bed, as well as paperrrr....(writer, y'know) Thanks for all, Cori! Wendy
